A long crest on its head

Open in 3D / VR

The story for kids

This is Parasaurolophus. Look at its head. There's a long crest there, like a tube. Scientists think it used that crest to make trumpet sounds and call its friends. Parasaurolophus ate plants. It had a mouth like a duck's bill, and it used it to tear off leaves and twigs. At the back of its mouth it had hundreds of teeth for chewing its food really well. It could walk on four legs or on two legs, so it could reach high branches.
