The story for kids
This is Saturn, the planet with the most beautiful rings. The rings aren't solid. They're made of countless pieces of ice and rock. Some are as small as a grain of sand, and some are as big as a house. They all go around Saturn together, like a merry-go-round. Saturn is very big, but very light. If there were a bathtub big enough to hold it, Saturn would float on the water, like a rubber duck! Saturn has lots of moons, and the biggest one is Titan.

For grown-ups
This is Saturn, the ringed planet. Its beautiful rings are made of billions of pieces of ice and rock; some are as small as grains of dust, others as big as a house. The rings are very wide, but very thin. Saturn is the second-largest planet after Jupiter, yet it is so light that if there were a giant bathtub full of water, Saturn would float on the surface. One year on Saturn lasts twenty-nine Earth years. It has more than two hundred and seventy moons. The largest, Titan, has a thick atmosphere and lakes of liquid methane.
